You may have noticed that this week is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee (that's 60 years since she became our monarch.

Here are some interesting facts about HRH Elizabeth Windsor:
1. The Queen is the second longest serving monarch. Only five other kings and queens in British history have reigned for 50 years or more. They are:
•   Victoria (63 years)
•   George III (59 years)
•   Henry III (56 years)
•   Edward III (50 years)
•   James VI of Scotland (James I of England) (58 years) 2.
2. The Queen is the fortieth monarch since William the Conqueror obtained the crown of England.

This week's task is to write 100 words about one of the following ideas:
1. 100 words saying well done to the Queen for the fantastic contribution she makes
2.   100 words starting: If I was the Queen/King, I would .......
3. Write a 100 word biography (life story) of the Queen.

It is amazing that the Queen has been on the throne for 60 years! In addition, she is the second longest serving monarch, she is only 3 years off being the highest (who is Queen Victoria). She has also made our country a treat to live in! With it being her jubilee, not just England will be celebrating, but the whole world will be celebrating on her behalf for the Diamond Jubilee! This fantastic woman's full name is Elizabeth Windsor (but just gets called the Queen).

I just can't believe that the Queen has been on the throne for 60 years! She is just 3 years off being the longest serving monarch! We are so lucky because she has made our country a happy place to live in. The Queens full name is Elizabeth Windsor however she just gets called the Queen. Plus not only England will be celebrating but the whole world will be celebrating her Diamond Jubilee. In addition to this, on 6th February 1952 the Queen was acceded to the throne and was crowned the following year on 2nd June 1953.

Imagine being thrust into the role of 'queen' at the tender age of 26, having no training, having no 'choice'! Queen Elizabeth II has spent the last 60 years, talking, listening, smiling at millions of people. Always immaculately dressed, immaculately polite, she has dedicated her life to her job. Whatever you do in life, such dedication is hard. 60 years is a long time for any 'job', even though her army of staff make that easier. Could you show such perseverance?

If I was King....
Just the though of that sends my mind racing into a list of endless possibilities, bringing out the inner child where everyhing goes my way.
But that would be selfish... wouldnt it?
As king, i'd try to do all of those things I'd always wanted, but never had the chance. Maybe buy a football club, and sign myself as the starting foward (just like on Fifa12), build my very own Quasar Laser - just for me and my friends, and most certainly start my own record label. I'd of course do a few daft things like fill a room with marshmallows and those delicious sour apples sweets whose name escapes me...
That would just be on Monday. What else would I get up to for the rest of the week?

If I were King….
Just the concept, sends my mind racing, releasing the inner child into an almost endless list of self indulgent possibilities. There are so many things I could do, just for me! But that would be selfish… wouldn’t it?
Where would I begin? For a start, I’d buy my own football team and sign myself as the starting striker (just like on Fifa 12). Then, I would sanction the building of my own Quasar Laser site for myself and my friends. Finally, I’d have to start my own record label.
That would just be Monday! So think of what else I could do during the rest of the week.

if i were queen there would be so many things i would be able to afford that many other peole couln't afford but that would be mean and unkind oh yes if i were queen i would go and visit people that are not very rich and would be kind to everyone but even if i could get flowers and presents and jubilees i should not be a show of i should just be proud of how kind people are

If i where Queen...

I could rule the cuntry i would be rich i would be so famus i would have my face on money. And i could have a masive place as big as a giant . But including gaurds that have shildes . And amo. But if I where Queen though you would . Have to have a pass that is £50 to get into my palace and view . My crown jewels,furnichure and my corgi dogs with family members but securty all over at the time so nothing naughty can happen.

Also, I could have servents that do nealy eveything for me but not when i am dowing some thing private (Like going to the toilet).
But this is the best thing about being Queen is when there is a big british event and me and my family get to ride in our sparkling carages which are pulled by the most beautifull big horses!

If I were Queen I would:
Go to Mcdonalds whenever I wanted and buy anything I ever wanted ( especially a bike), Oh and if I had a Jubilee I would be very pleased because I would get flowers, Presents ( For being a nice Queen really) But like Rachel said that would be very mean but, still I really wish I could be Queen because I really want a bike and also, I would be very wealthy. Also, there would be things I could afford and everyone else could'nt. If I were Queen Elizabeth, I would be very popular like 1000% liking and as a normal girl now I'm not really that popular.
I want to say: A Massive well Done to the Queen for having a Diamond Jubilee tomorrow ( 1st June 2012) Have fun too!

If I were King, I would make taxes lower to stop people from losing money quickly. Also, I would make dogs a protected species, thus no-one could hurt them. In addition, I would make SAT's much easier so people could get higher scores. Furthermore, I would design shops, which have free sweets and everyday shopping. I would let people make tours around Buckingham Palace on Sunday's, therefore people could come to Britain and see it's beautiful sightings. Also, I would invite anyone to join my Jubilee party. Finally, I would let any pet to come and walk around Buckingham Palace's garden.

If i were the king i would make sure that everyone in the country had enough money so that we could all afford to do the things we enjoy. I would increase the amount of wages that people were paid and lower the prices of bills that we need to pay out. I would encourage everybody to go out and get fit by doing lots of sports. I would give people more time off school so that they could do more sports. I would make every school have privlige time in the country and make the time off school friday to monday so that you could go on holiday more and do the same whith work.

Facts about the queen.

Did you know that the queen is 86 and she is celebrating her diamond jubilee on Monday? She is married to a prince called Price Phillip and her eldest son is called Price Charles. In addition, she has had over 30 corgi dogs during her time on the throne. Furthermore, our majesty the Queen has a gold plated crown and a velvet blue sash that she wears across her shoulder. Also, she has 8 grandchildren and 4 children of her own. The queen is yhe longest serving monarch and she has short grey hair.
She wears lots of lovely gold and silver jewelary. It is true you know that the Queen was taught at home and not at a school!

I just want to say; thanks, to our most gracious Queen. She toils every day to rid Britain of evil, and to assure everyone is happy. Great things are done, thanks to the Queen. The Queen is a marvelous, wonderful ruler. She has managed to keep England right for sixty years now, despite getting old. Even from the day she started, the Queen managed to get even the most reluctant Englishman and Englishwoman to like her. Only the grandest monarchs have been able to do this, so well done!

if i were queen i would make sure that every one was treated the same and that every one should have a decent amout of money and have a roof over there head so that they are safe.in addition i would love every thing to be done for me. now moving on to saying well done to the queen. well done elizabeth II. i would not be able to reign over at least 4 countries.yet again to the queen well done.

If i was king it ould be the best solution ever made i would make every mc, donalds, KFC, burger king ect all free of charge. Also i would make that there is no work for parents and they would receive a million pound every week for getting food from shops. I said that people dont have to work but if people want to earn a extra amount of money they can go to work.

Another thing, is that i wathched the jubilee concert on my telly it was amazing i saw jessie j and will.i.am they were thernomanol together!!!!!!

Also, to make sure that everyone gets a good amount of treatment and a decent amount if money so they dont have to live on streets

Queen Elizabeth has helped us all by serving our country and commonwealth for a long 60 years.
The queen is a very happy and busy person who is always serving our country.
Queen Elizabeth meets lots of other kings and queens as well as presidents etc.
She lives in Buckingham palace which attracts lots of tourists to visit our country.
She is often the centre of big shows and parades in our country which attracts lots of people to come and watch them.
So I want everyone to say well done on her 60 years as Queen hip hip hooray

Here are some facts about our Queen.She was born 21st April 1926,she is 86 years old,her father's name is George VI,her mother's name is Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon,her husband's name is Prince Andrew Duke of York,her son's are called Prince Edward Earl of Wessex and Prince Charles of Whales and her daughter's name is Princess Anne (Royal).Elizabeth was the first child of Prince Albert Duke of york an his wife Elizabeth she was named after her mother.On the 1st of june Queen Elizabeth came to our school for the jubilee for our street party and i hope next year she vists the school again.

If i where queen ...

I could go to McDonald and get a cheese burger for FREE.Also, I would have slaves that came round people's house's to help out. Another thing I would not haft to go shopping because my slave's would have a little tv and i would have one and they will hold the little tv up next to the clothes and i would talk in to the tv and say yes or no. I would have all the sim's like sims 3 late nignt sims 3 pet's and sims 3 world adventurer and lot's more sims 3 .I would pay everyone to get sky so they can watch so random sonny with a chance good luck Charlie shake it up sponge bob square pans and Big Time Rush and lot's more. We would have school on Saturday's and Sunday's and we would not go to school on Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday and the same with work

If I was king parents should be band from keeping pokett mony and toys. allso I SHALL get my owne way then my men will get me all the food in the world to share with others. I will make the cuntry a safer cleaner place to live. I would make the houses much bigger but cheaper to run and live in. I would make sure no one was homeless.

If I was queen,

I would ensure that everyone no matter what race, religion or gender has a roof over there head and a bed to sleep in, I would also make sure that there is plenty of clean fresh water and food for those in less fortunate countries and for those people that need help and support.
I would like to thank the queen and her family for helping to bring peace amongst other countries.

just saying thanks to the queen she has been there 60 years. if i was king the first thing i would do is build a football pitch for the kids.Also no matter what every has a roof under there head because it is not fare that people are homeless! And every one has to have enough water to live and don't forget that they nee food. They were the important ones,every child needs POCKET MONEY so they can buy there own things instead of there mum or dad buying us clouths

During her reign, The Queen has reached important milestones in her personal and public life. Some of these have been celebrated publicly. The Queen has many different duties to perform every day. Some are public duties, such as ceremonies, receptions and visits within the United Kingdom or abroad. The Queen celebrates two birthdays each year: her actual birthday on 21 April and her official birthday on a Saturday in June. The Queen meets thousands of people each year in the UK and overseas. Before meeting Her Majesty, many people ask how they should behave. The simple answer is that there are no obligatory codes of behaviour - just courtesy. If I was Queen I would make all of the prisoners and persistant offenders go abroad and fight in the wars. This would mean all of our decent soldiers could come home and protect our country from illegal imigrants and others coming into Britain. The soldiers would be safer, also they would regularly see their families.

You show a lot of concern for our Armed Forces. I agree it would be better if soldiers were safer and could see their families more, although traditionally soldiers have used Britain and British bases for training and haven't been used for what you suggest; this would usually be the Police's job.
