Seeing as you are all now Young Writers, I thought I'd share an interesting website. It's called http://www.youngwriters.co.uk and has lots of games, ideas to improve your writing and competitions. In addition, there are Recommended Reads and other bits and pieces. Finally, budding bloggers might like to read Millie's Blog - could you write like her? I enjoyed the description of happy teachers, and the comment 'they won't bite!'

Great news! More and more sites have gone live. All sites can be accessed via the Terrific Talent page of this site! The ones near the top are live. Make sure you've checked it first - one or two haven't included their Memories of a School Year or a blog entry. This means no one can comment on your site!
Remember, make specific positive comments. Eg. I really liked the way you ................. or Your report on ....... is really interesting! Well done to those of you who were ready to publish their sites today.
I've just checked: I can see Charlotte's and India's so far. For Luke, Shannon Jo and Jordan, we will look at those tomorrow. Enjoy your evening! Next week, we will be learning about Time.
We will look at: telling the time, 12 and 24 hour clocks, using timetables, working out the duration of an event. Try this weblink for some games to get you warmed up: http://www.maths-games.org/time-games.html Let me know which games you liked - we might then choose them for class activities! |
