Sports Week Reflection

This week, we are going to do Big Writing using the iPads. It will work similarly to the usual Big Writing sessions.

Reflect on what you have gained from Sports Week.

Don't forget writing using technology is still our best writing!

Consider: Openers with clauses (When, Although, If, Excited, Feeling ..... , Nervously, etc.)
Connectives - because, so, thus, furthermore.
Punctuation - " ", ! ? .... - - ( )
Powerful words - especially for movement and feelings.

Sports Day for me was a melting pot of emotions: nerves, jubilation, amusement, disappointment and a general feeling of high spirits created by good performances and sportsmanship.

Recalling my days of sports days, I don't remember being as nervous as I am now when I compete against the year 6s. Does that means it matters more now? Probably not! Does it mean that as an adult I fear not succeeding and the reaction from others?

Actually, the race was something of a blur. I was ready yet not ready! As Miss Brown set off, her legs and arms pumping, I realised I was next! Although the year sixes were leading at this point, I still believed we could overcome that gap. I was now focussed, not noticing the excited chatter of spectators whi were eager to see if this was the year when the children would win. As Mrs Davis headed towards me, I knew that Ruby were leading, although I have no idea who was their athlete! Then disaster struck! Not once, but twice, our hands failed to connect to transfer the flimsy makeshift baton of a leg tie.

I could feel the panic as we fumbled, as Kat streaked into the distance! After finally receiving the baton, knowing that we couldn't reach her, I started to run, fists pumping but part of me thought, "Why continue? Why push as hard as I can?" Then I realised another team were in second, and I chose to fight - after all, in school we have high expectations of everyone, myself included.

As I reached Kat, I knew that the children had won and Kat's grin spoke volumes! The children humbled me with their response: pleased yet not gloating, a reflection of a Sports Day where everyone did their best.

From the team captains down, this sports day is memorable for me for the good losers as much as the superb performances, of which there were many. Roll on next year- another festival of sport, another chance to compete!

Sports day

One of the most memorable moments of sports week for me was coming first in the 3 legged race and second in the 200m.I really enjoyed the teachers relay. Although my team (Topaz) didn't win I was still very proud of them and my self.

When I was in the 200m sprint I was focused and raring to go! When I was running everything was like a blur I couldn't hear anything except my footsteps and I didn't look behind to see where everyone was.In the 200m race I came second and at that point I was so proud of my self.

Then It was time for the team captains 3 legged race witch Dylan and I came first in all I could hear was my team chanting on for us and it all paid off because I came first. Me and Dylan thought it was amazing and were very proud.

After all my races were finished I was ready for the results mrs Hemings left us all in anticipation for a while before she told us who came where. Finally the time had come my heart was in my mouth and she said "forth place goes to...Topaz" even thought I came last I was still happy and proud of everyone that participated in my team!

I really liked the way you used openers (When and Although). I also liked the introduction because it tells you it is going to be about.

It would be even better if you used commas after some openers. For example,

I really liked the way you used WOW words (focused, raring). In addition, your openers (when, although) are really good.

It would be even better if you added commas,

LDodgeball

One of the most memorable moments of sports week for me was the dodgeball tournament. It started off on Monday where our year 6 class was split into three even teams and versed each other to see who will be champion. Team A versed team B. The first match was nerve wracking because it was only the first game on you didn't want to lose. However team B - my team- won, then team A played the second round against team C but everyone was being friendly still so everything seemed alright. Team A won this round. Last was team C v team B it was really scary because everyone was throwing harder and catching more, but in the end my team won again and were told they would play year 5 on Friday!

Then on Friday everyone shook hands with their opponents which lowered the tense a bit because everyone was being friendly, it was really fun. When we played the first game everyone was going out and in on repeat! When our class won the first round Caitlin was leaping with joy.

When we played the second round everyone was evading around the hurtling balls because they didn't want to be out. Ethan and Kieran kept sprinting forward to catch the balls to help our team mates that were out get back in.

For a short period of time in the second game there were only 3 or 4 players from year 6 then Ethan caught one of the balls then another, and another! Soon everyone was catching the balls and gradually our whole team was in again. When I saw all of team mates coming back in, I felt exuberant and confident we were defiantly going to win. I looked up and a few girls from our class started chanting " year 6 year 6" which I think helped us quite a bit, then the next time I looked up ALL of our class were standing on the bench and chairs chanting aswell. Suddenly, the year 5 class started screamed "5s 5s 5s", next thing I knew all I could hear instead of balls flying past at an estimated guess of 100 miles per hour was a muffled mixture of chants and screams.

At the end we were champions because we won both rounds which made me extremely happy, we were pleased but not gloating! We shook hands with the others and Curtis said " congratulations " which made me and Jodie smile because it was good sportsmanship!

I really like the way you have put every little detail in from start to Finnish! I also like the way you have put in the fact about we were split in even teams.

It would have been even better if you had spel dodgeball wright rather then. a l in the front!

One of the most memorable moments of sports week was the dodgeball tournament in the school hall on Friday 7th June 2013. It was Year 6 winners vs Year 5 winners. The Year 6 team included Ethan,Kieran,Dylan and Kat while the Year 5 team included Curtis and Micah. It was the best of 3 between the two teams. There was the rest of both classes also in the hall cheering their class on. Some of the top moments were when Micah left high to avoid being hit.I was shouting for Kieran to catch the ball. Year 6 won the first match. In the second match there was only a few year 6s left and a few more year fives I felt nervous but then the year sixes made a comeback and ended up winning 2-0. All the year sixes were cheering and celebrating with the winners. The Year fives almost won. I felt happy even though I wasn't in the team. All of the players shook hands before the match and some shook hands after to show respect.

Niall I really like the bit where you say 'to show respect' at the very end it really brings out the sportsmanship in your piece of writing, I also like the bit where it says I felt happy even though I wasn't in the team!

To improve you could edit the bit where it says 'Micah left' to Micah lept (because the iPad has changed the spelling!)

The fact that you have included the scores (yey 2-0). In addition, you have included all of the information needed and maybe some extra.

You could make it a little bit longer even though it is already boss.

On the 7th June 2013 me and some other people in my class played two dodgeball matches in the final because we won the dodge ball tournament on the 3rd of June the people in the team were me (Kieran),Dylan,Katie,Jodie,Ethan and Caitlin
It started at 9:00 to approximately 10:15 first off all we picked the teams then started the match the captains were me (Kieran),Daniel and Niall my team won all of their matches being defeated exactly no times.

It was really fun because we could just play and have fun not arguing at all!
It felt like we were couldn't be defeated we threw the dodge balls with great power we dodged a lot of dodgeball 's. At the start it was making me nervous because I didn't know if I was going to win or not, you would feel the same wouldn't you? As soon as the whistle was blown we all set out like using bolt to get the balls. Unluckily, our team only managed to get one ball. We were all panting like dogs because we were very exhausted. We were just about to lose when Ethan caught the ball and one of our members was back in the game that is what made us snatch the game of the other team. (That was about the third of June) When we started the first match on the 7th of June no-one was worried on our team because we are not able to be beaten . we started with catch after catch and hit after hit we did that all of the way threw there was people that hurled the ball with power people dodging with skill and people getting there gaming faces on. Unsurprisingly, we won but we won with dignity in our hearts and belief. Another game followed after and it was all the same but this time we started of winning feeling happy then at the middle of the game we started losing there was so much of us out we must have started developing claustrophobia we hoped and hoped that we would win then Ethan did the highlight of the match, Drew (a member of year 5) threw the ball Ethan hit it in the air jumped forward and caught it. Then we all started catching the balls again and we won. After that, I thought to myself that we are definitely not able to be beat.

The atmosphere was terrible but nice, there was people chanting and chanting "year 6 year 6, year 5 year 5". Everyone was being so competitive encouraging the team to do their best (even though they don't need to). When we won the noise level was up levelled by 50 there was so much cheering that people almost went deaf.

I like that you have included a question to the reader and that you have included claustrophobic. The only wish I have is that you have not put a capital letter after we. This was a really good piece of work well done!

Dodgeball

One of the most memorable moments of Sports Week for me was the dodgeball tournament. It started off on Monday with all of my class joining in, however only one team could go through to the finals, which puts even more pressure on you.

My team got to the finals, which was today (we were versing the winning team from year five). As the tournament started to begin, suddenly everyone was chanting for their class. I felt nervous incase our team didn't win because I knew we would've let the class down. Slowly, year six got tired and started going down hill. When I was out I had butterflies in my stomach because I knew I needed someone to catch the ball, so that I could get back into the game. When we won the first game, there was a burst of exuberance. Caitlin leapt with joy and said with confidence, "We can do this! We can win the next one!"

In the second game it looked as if we were going to loose but gradually we gained the upper hand and won. However, it wasn't the winning that made me smile, it was that Drew - from year five - was a great sportsman and shook all of our hands at the end of the game. I was surprised at the fact that Mika could leap so high and do the splits at the same time. In addition, he was amazing at dodging. For a moment I thought I was going to be out as Rose hurled the ball at me, but luckily I darted out of the way just in time. Catching a ball, Ethan smiled and shouted, "Katie! You're back in the game!" Suddenly the year fives looked as if they were catching up with us and they were just about to win but we all came back, fighting with determination.

I enjoyed the dodgeball, not just because it was fun, but because everyone were good sportsmen.

Also,you have a large handful of amazing openers for example, in addition and however.

You could improve using less commas although they are in the correct places you have written this very well and you have put all of the punctuation in the correct place

Friday 7th June 2013 Sports Day

The three legged race

On Wednesday 5th June me and Alyssa were doing the three legged race. It was fantastic and extremely extraordinary. We were struggling at first and going slow but then Alyssa said "Let's go," so we began to run to the finish line and it was a tie between us, Kat and Lucy.

The atmosphere was phenomenal when Emerald started to cheer us on. We were focusing on winning the race. We were full of concentration. We darted to the end however, when were near the end we started to feel unhappy because we thought we where going to loose. Everyone in green team were happy because we tried our best and tied with Ruby. The atmosphere was amazingly powerful.

We felt nervous when we were at the starting line. Nervously, we walked and the race had begun. We felt scared, we were shaking, we put our arms around each other and began to focus on winning so we ran for victory for Emerald. We stopped shaking, the race was over and we were filled with joy! Our team chanted and cheered wildly "Yeah woo!". Feeling proud, Emerald team won... Would you be proud if your team won?

Dodgeball tournament

One of the most memorable moments of sports week for me was dodgeball tournament because y6 won 2-0 against y5. It all started off on Monday year6 was split into 3 teams and 1 team won so they played against y5 on Friday morning. We all went down to the school hall and sat on benches and chairs for the dodge off first round was easy for year6 because one person
on the other team was left to tackle all of us so we won that round.

On the second match we swapped sides but we still won them and again only one person on the other team was against all of us. As Micah jumped high in the air to dodge the ball and as the ball thrown by Ethan it flew high and powerful in the air. As we started to lose, tension struck y6 were shouting "come on year 6 you can do it" as the last ball flew in the air on the last round it hit the legs WE HAVE WON THE DODGE OFF! Then the winners all shook hands.

Friday 7th June 2013

The most memorable moment for me was upper school sports day, there were millions of competitive children's from each team.

The Ruby team was 100% competitive, Martine was sprinting to the finishing line, although I wasn't the one in the 200 metre race, if I was, I would have felt tired and confident. The funniest moment was of Niall and Olivia in the 3-legged race they kept falling to the ground and made everyone laugh, however the Sapphire team were still cheering for them, Niall was dragging her slowly.

Daniel, who was in the Emerald team, was fast like Bolt from the Olympics. Daniel was 10 or 20 metres away from the participants. The 2nd most funniest thing to me was of me and Lucy, we dived quickly to the finishing line because Annis and Eliza were racing to the line too, it was an incredible tie in the 3-legged race. Ruby team were cheering for us, making me determined to win. Emerald team also cheered loudly to Annis and Eliza.

The relay was great even though you get no points for it. The teachers plus the other tedious team lost to the Ruby team. Although Ruby team didn't win the trophy, I was proud of them. I did feel disappointed however Annis' team was victories, they haven't won in 10 years. There were millions of support from everyone, it's not about the winning though, it's about taking part.

Emerald got 47, Ruby got 45, Sapphire got 27 and lastly Topaz got... 23 points.

Sports day

One of the most memorable moments of sports day for me was the parents race because some of the dads did it also, Jamie h didn't come first however he was still proud of his self also, he came 3rd and every one was clapping and cheering on for the parents. Then the 2nd best moment was the 200metres race because when Mrs Hemmings said go I wanted Niall to win because he is in my team however, Daniel M won because he is a fast runner. When it was my turn for the skipping race I was really scared at first but when Mrs Hemmings said go I was nearly in the lead until Bethany W and Millie over toke me and at the finishing line I had came 3rd but I was proud because I had everyone in my team .

Disappointed by not winning I sat down and cheered for the rest of my team and for some other people from another team. In the relay I was scared because it was year 6 vs the teachers and I came 3rd in that but I could hear all of my team cheering on for me. In the 200metres race I was cheering on for Olivia and the I started cheering on for Caitlin because I wanted Olivia to win also I wanted Caitlin to win! When it was the result time I got really excited because I wanted my team to win however, Emerald won and I was so happy for them also happy for every other team including my team because everyone put loads of energy Into sports day also sports week. Joking on with my friends it made me feel more excited because I new I had lots of people came to watch me and I was cheering on for the Reston my team for the rest of the teams.

Sports Day: one of the most memorable days of my life.
One of the most memorable moments of sports day for me are winning the three-legged race with Jack Fryer. It was the Bean bag in a bucket race and me and Jack were practising-badly. Then, the time came closer to the three legged race and we were put under pressure, a lot of pressure. It was time. As Miss Hemmings tied the strap around us we heard the words; on your marks, get set, go! It was a crucial moment- Aaron and Daniel (the fastest in the race by far) were on our tails. We needed to go faster consequently, we did. Then, someone had tripped, who could it be? As I turned around... It was Aaron and Daniel. We leaped to the finish line and snatched the first-place title for Ruby! I felt jubilant.
Another nerve-wrecking moment was of course, the final moment, the decider, the words of the day, it was- the results! Miss Hemmings gave a great, motivating speech. After the speech she said, "Topaz with 23 points are 4th place. Sapphire, with 27 points are 3rd. Now the winner is a team that hasn't won in a very long time is with 47 points, two points behind Ruby is Emerald!" As I clapped in despair and joyI felt as if my heart had been ripped out but I knew that it was well deserved and that we did come second so I cheered up and walked inside.
There was also some hilarious times in Sports Day 2013, and of course, it involved Niall! It was the team captain's three-legged race and Ruby came third. However, Niall and Olivia cheered me up- a lot. It was not because they came last, it was because their strap fell of and Miss Hemmings had to put it back on. After that, they hopped to the finish line and fell over, it was very funny and that was probably the funniest and most memorable moment of Sports Day!

It would be better if you put where people came in the 200m race and if you had put a space in the middle of joy and I.

Douge ball finally ...

Today the douge off was held in the upper school hall against year five and year six however on Monday we had the first douge ball tournament on that day me Kieran , Dylan , Kat , Katie won on Monday then we went off to the doge off then on that day all the year five and six that were not playing Sat on the seats to watch us the year six were chanting
year six! And then year five did the same on the first game year five did the same.

Curtis and Michia leapt when the ball came to there feet but Curtis was unlucky because he tried to jump but Dylan got his foot however he went out
then his friend got hit by me then the time was up for the first match...
The time was up and years six won the very first match.

On the last game all of the teams were in then we got John Paul out then we drew out then Curtis on his leg he fell over then there was only 1 minute left in
Our line there was 2 people left to get in however the whistle went then the y6 won the doge off.

I really liked the way you used an exclamation mark in your work. It really made your work exquisite! The way you used commas in a list was another brilliant thing.
The work would be even greater if you spelt 'dodge' correctly, it was still terrific though!
I think you are very smart and I also congratulate you on winning the Dodgeball Tournament!

One of the most memorable moments of sports week for me was the upper school sports day it took place on the school field. One of the best performance was Daniel Magee he did the 200 metre race he was like a dash of lighting sprinting around the field. My race was the 80 metre race I came first I could feel my blood rushing up my body. I blocked out every one cheering and concentrated on my self. I new I could do it because as soon as I put my foot on that start line I just went and past all of the other people. My tummy was going mad it was like i had butterflies I could only hear my self panting and shaking thinking that I might lose. I looked at the side while I was in the middle of my race and saw all of my team mates jumping up and down like it was in slow motion,arms floating in the air, people standing on the chairs. As I finished the race all of them coming right up and patting my back saying well done! I was out of breath but I new I could do it. I also did the staff relay kat headed towards the finish line and ran and ran and ran I was 7 seconds behind her but she had just did it but I came second and that's still good I said too my self. I went over to kat and said you did great. I had a really bad head ache so I sat down for a but it felt like I was getting hit by a bat On my head it was banging it wouldn't stop. So I looked at my team they were doing great I cheered them on Justin was in the ledge as by a smashing performance drew frame just passes Justin. Justin came over he was devastated he face was bright red like a tomato I exclaimed to him u will get him next time it's ok! Then it was the adults race Wondering who would do it drew in year 4 his mam makes a excellent run and just finished. Ruby team was doing quiet well Daniel was being a good leader to ruby he was even supporting other teams which I thought was really nice of him. All the team captains were doing really good by supporting there teams and other teams as well. The sport races and activates we're over as miss Hemings read out the scores and who came 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th in 4th place was topaz 3rd place was sapphire 2nd place was ruby and 1st place was.......EMRALD! Every jumped up and down swinging there arms every where it was amazing because EMRALD team hadn't won in years so that was a big part too us and that meant every thing to the team captain for emerald all the team captains had worked really hard and all of them had did there best.

You really tried hard, and its really good! I thoroughly like the bit where you put my tummy was going mad it was like I had butterflies because its really effective the same with the part where you say I could feel my blood rushing around my body!

You could edit by changing the spelling of 'emrald' to emerald! Try typing it out three times!

Dodge off

What I most loved out of this week was the dodge off on Friday, because my best friend was in it, Kat. At the start the players got dressed in different rooms. While they got dressed we were talking about our holidays, how was this week like and talking about our feeling. My feeling was nervous especially Kat Pinimanee, my best friend. When they got dressed we all headed down to the hall with our challenges the year 5s. On the left side was the year 5s and on our right was the awesome year 6s, half of the class in each team were sitting down and the other half there getting ready to play. The dodge balls were in the middle on top of 6 cones, Mr Temple the year 6 teacher was explaining the rules how to play dodge ball. The teams were shaking hands and then got in the stations.

Although we didn't do anything we were cheering on our team, when Mr Temple blew the whistle the year 6s didn't go for the balls the let the year 5s get them, that's there little trick. The year 5s threw the balls at them then they threw them back. On our next round the players shook hand again for Luke. The teams swapped sides and then Kat's team had a trick up there sleeve for later.

What I liked most about your work was the first paragraph it was amazing there was also,some fantastic sentences!

It would be even better if you used some brackets for example kat could go in brackets and were it says mr temple and in brackets the year. Can you put the brackets in the right place?

Sports Day...

One of the most memorable moments of sports week for me was when I did the teachers relay because Martine ran down to me and I ran back up and I won it.
Also Daniel McGee competed in the 200metre race and he was about 30metres away from everyone and he won because we never knew he could run so excellent and he made it. Now I'm going to tell you the races I competed in at sports day. Disappointed by not winning the rest of the races but cheering and happy for the others that won I sat down on my chair and just enjoyed the rest of the races and forgot about my sadness.
Exuberant by my friends cheering me on who are Bethany Hird and Chantelle Hannnaby. When it was the parents race I was surprised how fast all of the parents could run and I even had butterflies in my stomach because I was worried about nathens mum and his self.

The races I competed in was the bean bag in the bucket, 80metre race and the teachers relay and the one that I liked the most was the 80 metre race because Sometimes I can sprint really fast and i came 3rd so I was really pleased with myself and my mum was really happy she said to me at the end she was nearly in tears when I finally told her that i came 3rd in the 80metre race although when I got home at the end of the day and I told my dad that I won the teachers relay. I

When Miss Hemming's revealed the winner of sports day I was a bit disappointed but I was still really happy for the them that they won because the last time ruby won so I was really great full for them.

when were near the end we started to feel unhappy because we thought we where going to loose. Because you made a mistake saying when were near the end and it should of been we were. But great story about sports week.

Doge Ball

One of the most memorable moments of sports week for me was the dodge ball tourdement on Friday. Kieran, Ethan and Kat were three of the people on the team from year six. The atmosphere was was very extatic and competitive. In the second match it looked like year five had won but then lwith some great catches year six snatched the lead and won.

The whole school hall was erupting with chanting, both teams were determined to win. Great comebacks nearly won it for year five but year six were just to good hurling balls towards the opposing team!

Sports day
What I have learnt from sports day is that it is not all about winning, it is about having fun and winning is a bonus. The first thing on sports day was skipping but for me and Daniel Blake was sorting out who was going up at what races.

When the race had started, I was cheering so loud I nearly lost my voice. For a moment, there was an air of anticipation.

The first race I was in was the 200metre sprint. I went to the starting line and I could feel butterflies fluttering in my stomach. Suddenly, when I got at least half way,I could hardly hear anybody cheering, I could only hear my self panting heavily. When I was approximately 10 metres away from the finish line, Caitlin came closer. Consequently, I started to pick up speed and and ran 0.25 metres on front of everyone in the race. When I reached the finish line, my team cheered with jubilant. I gasped for air. During the race, I felt as though I was being chased.

As soon as I went for a drink and to sit down, My friend said "You have to go and do the three legged race with Daniel. Daniel's and my feet were tied together. Laughing, Daniel and I were very tenacious when our Velcro strap came off. We made it to the finish line, I took the strap off and realised I had a graze on my leg because of the Velcro. Surprised, I leapt up and took the laminated card that said "third" up to the table and ran to sit down.

Many more races took place. It was time for results. I bowed my head praying for victory.
" the winners are ... Emerald." All other teams were disappointed. I was disappointed but proud of my team for doing so well and they should be proud of themselves as well.

Sports day report

On the 5th of June 2013 Tanfied lea held a sports day for the kids. first was the upper school sports day. The first race was the skipping with year 3/4 then the 5/6 skipping
then the bean bag in a bucket for 3/4 and 5/6 then the sack race foe 3/4 and 5/6. After that it was the 3 legged race with me and Aaron, I was scared in case I fell but I did it was so funny I came last and at the end I felled embarrassed.

But the 200m was next I was in it at the start I felled like I was going to win, so when we started I sprinted all the way round never slowed down, the I looked behind me and I was so far in front of them I won by 20m it was easy. So then I was in the 3 legged race team captains I did not fall but I was scared in case I did fall but I didn't I came second.

However then the moment every one has been wateing for the winners every one was silent.then she said 4th was topaz and blue came 3rd and then ruby had 45 points and green had 47 points so green won and I am in green I was proud I had to get up and hold the trophy and I was happy when got inside.

Sports day

One of the most memorable moments of sports day for me was when I ran in the 200metre race and when I skipped in the skipping race. I felt a bit disappointed when I didn't come 1st in the 200metre race but I was proud of myself for trying my hardest.

When I raced in the 200metre race, the crowd was cheering and I heard my team shout,"Go on Bethany!" So I pushed myself trying to win. When I started skipping, I felt butterfly's in my stomach but when I started running more to the finish line.

Disappointed after I finished my races,I sat down to watch the other participants race. When I won 1st place in the skipping, Everyone said well done (I jumped for joy with excitement.)

When I first started the 200metre race I was last then I sprinted as fast as I could to the finish and overtook one of the racers.Surprisingly, the children beat the adults in the Teachers race! (which the Teachers were shocked by.) Chanting, the noise was fenonemal but it was supporting the racers.

When we were practising, it was the same as the sports day it was outstanding. When it was the parents race one of the parents fell over then the atmosphere went silent but when she got up they everyone started cheering again congratulating every parent who was racing.

Eventually, after all the races were finished Miss Hemmings congratulated everyone and announced the winning team which was … Emerald team!(green team.) Everyone cheered even the other teams to show appreciation. Then after we got a delicious rocket lolly.

Sports day
On the 5th June at tanfield lea there was a special thing held on.
It was sports day it is we're you do different races it was held on the field.
The wether was a bit cloudy and a bit sunny there was all upper school who was downing it in the morning.
On the afternoon the lower school done it.
On the teachers I saw mrs brown swinging here arms back and forward and I fort that I could try that and it will make you faster so i could win one.
On the two hundred meter race I fort that I was going to win but the extatic Daniel who sprinted as fast as he could he was like as fast as a cheater he sprinted past me and he got round the corner and even More sprinted and past the finish line.
On the three legend race on the team captain race Niall was crawling mot the finish line he wanted to finish first uhe made all of the parents laugh even all the teachers and the pupils.
I was disappointed that I came third in the three leged race (but not the team captain race)
Would you like to do a sports day why don't you come to tanfield lea and do one every year?
I am in year six I don't want to go because I want to do more sports day.
If I came 4th I would of even been more disappointed.
When Nathan's mum fell over she still went on and she was still unlucky.
Although I came second and third I still went on.
When yellow came last I still think that all of us were good and had the paste to go up and do all the races in front of the parents the teachers also the other teams.
It was the best sports day ever good bye.

I was born in Nevada on the 24th of June 1984, my parents are called Steven James McQueen and Kate Dixon McQueen my dad was 56 years old and my mam was 53 years old and I am 27 years old. My dad is and actor and my mam is a model. When I was 8 years old I liked suits and ties I had every thing because my parents are rich and famous. And when I was 17 my dad died in a car crash and when I was 23 my mam died so I went on to be famous. When I was 25 I became a first class male and every one knew me. I was a rich person and all girls liked me I got married when I was 27. And went to balls and I met Rockefeller and we are friends and I bought a Ferrari. And went to give cinder 3 tickets to Rockefeller's concert. However two girls came and stole them I ran and screamed and that's all I have done in my life up till now.

One of the most memorable moments of sports week for me was the dodgeball tournament on Monday the 3rd of June where three excited yet nervous teams took part battling for a place in the dodge-off. I was mixed emotions as I watched everyone hurling and catching, evading and hitting. The atmosphere was great, everyone cheering for their favourite team. At the end of all the shouting and cheering, one off the teams made it through.
When the dodge-off arrived (on Friday the 7th of June) everyone was nervous! All the children showed great sportsman ship and team spirit. The atmosphere was phenomenal, when everyone was cheering for their team. I felt that on the first game we had a good chance of winning. Most children sat and watched on the other hand children cheered. They worked together to finnish as a winner. When the first game had finished, the teams swapped over. Feeling jubilant, I cheered for my team. We were't able to be defeated. Slowly, year 6 grew tired and starting going down hill. However, just before the last minute, we gradually started to become more determined. Everyone cheered as loud as they could. The year 5's were becoming more easy to get out. Till finally, at the last through of the ball. We became victors. Although the other team felt distraught, they still had enough pride to shake hands. Everyone was congratulating the team. I felt that there was nothing that could beat us. Unfortunately, the losing team walked back feeling disappointed. Whereas year six celebrated for their victory.

Sports Day

What I most loved out of this week was sports day I loved the 80m sprint Daniel McGee was in the 80m sprint he went slow at first when he got near to the finishing line he darted his team were cheering for him and he won.On the morning of sports day my feelings were nervous and scared.Disappointed,I came 3rd when I finished the skipping race I sat down on my chair and enjoyed the rest of the races.Then it was the team captains 3 legged race the team captains that were in it were Martine and Daniel Blake Olivia and Niall Katie and Daniel McGee Dylan and Catlain . Daniel McGee and Katie won the 3 legged race.

When the parents race had happened I was surprised that how other parents can run faster than a cheetah.Also a parent stumbled when she got near the finishing line.

Then Mrs Johnson sat all of the upper school down and she told us who won it was green Emerald I know why Emerald won because Daniel is a brilliant runner so is Kieran however Daniel is the best runner in our whole school

Although, I am proud of my team and other teams but I am proud of myself.
