The Olympics is drawing ever closer; here is a film created by Michael Morpurgo, the famous children's author. I was surprised to see his name on the credits, but surely it's a sign of quality. What do you think? Are you impressed by the video or should he stick to writing children's novels? I wish I could capture a rainbow like that on my phone!

On Sunday I went with my Mam to watch my friend Charly and her lovely white pony Barney in a show jumping competition. The show was on at Holmside Hall near Lanchester, we arrived there at 10:30am and Charly jumped in a clear round competition first, she did very well but not quite well enough to win a rosette. The next competition she rode in was pairs with her friend Natalie and her pony Smudge. They did very well in this round they came second, Charly’s sister Hannah and her friend Charline came first in this round on their ponies Duke and Lexi.
