Nothing compares to what I witnessed on Christmas Day! Absolutely nothing. We were enjoying our Christmas dinner and pulling our Christmas crackers when there was a large BANG! Slowly, the sky got darker. The pure snowy sky turned into total darkness. My Father walked slowly towards the kitchen door. As he reached for the door handle, the electricity went off. All we had for light was a candle we had lit. The storm lasted for hours and we couldn't do anything but wait for it to stop. Without warning, my father jumped up out of his seat and started singing and dancing. Before very long, we were all laughing and dancing with him. Even though it was cold and horrible outside, we were illuminating the sitting room with our joy.
What a happy tale, Alyssa! Where I live in Scotland, we often have power cuts during storms and although I don't ever remember dancing, I have fond memories of making toast over an open fire by candlelight with my children. Remember to keep checking the word count as you write so that you are within the limit next time.
