My class know how much I love language! Thus, it was a very proud moment, when I clicked on the Special Showcase of the 100 word challenge website. As I scrolled down, the word 'Tanfield Lea' caught my eye. There (as if in flashing lights) was Leah P's name!
Her haunting writing (found here) is a suitably spooky affair. Its mixture of short staccato sentences, repetition and questions engage the reader and it rightly has its place on the Showcase alongside entries from Canada, Australia, America as well as around Britain.
