Next week, we will look at the Julia Donaldson poem, The Highway Rat, based on Alfred Noyes' The Highwayman.
An amusing tale of a greedy highway rat, this poem contains rhyme, repetition and speech as did the original. I wonder if we could match the performance by this child below or even add to the original text?
I'm sure you could do both - perform the poem well and even add some parts of your own. I'll keep checking your blog to see if you do that.
