Today both Dalton and Bonnington groups went places that the Ipads couldn't go : the water!
However, here are some pictures of their games playing together tonight. They are currently all watching a DVD together.

Another lovely morning here and we always enjoy a good breakfast to get us ready for the day's activities. Today, Fiennes group are walking and going on the lake, Dalton group are canoeing and Bonnington are gorge walking! 
Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic last day of term at Tanfield Comp today. The two Steves (Barlow and Skidmore) entertained us with hilarious tales from their stories. As you can see from the video below, it was a fully interactive experience, which the children raved about on the way home! They encouraged us to believe that 'we are all writers'. My favourite part was when they said that you should write about what you know: YOU! They also took the time to talk to Leah about her 100wc post. What was your favourite part? Following the girls' super video earlier in the week, here is the boys' fantastic effort! They beat Delves 4-0 and drew with St. Mary's 0-0 in tonight's action! Great effort- I'm not sure about the comment that fun starts after school though! In Big Writing today, we developed arguments about whether to leave Bryher wracked by storms by adding 'posh' openers and facts to strengthen our ideas. We, of course, used our 'posh' voices to record them!
After last time's fabulous efforts, who is the poshest here? Your website is nearly ready to go live. Is it as good as it can be?
Here is a final checklist before we publish: Have you: 1. Put writing on every page? 2. Checked your writing for capital letters and full stops? 3. Inserted pictures? 4. Written a blog entry? 5. Used your blog to invite others to comment on your site? 6. Added hyperlinks? NOW YOU NEED TO: 7. Show it to a friend to be edited, then show an adult! Bonus: 8. Inserted a video from You tube? 8. Added a game/ Show Me / Audioboo, using Custom HMTL? If you have done all of these, simply click the PUBLISH button! Then, you can go on each others 'sites and leave positive comments. Finally, invite family and friends to comment too. If you want to insert moving images, games, Audioboos or Showmes, you might need to embed codes from other websites. For example, click on the Audioboo from the class website, which should take you to the audioboo.fm website, where you can click Embed. Then, copy the code in full. Return to your Weebly site, click on MORE under Elements, then CUSTOM HTML and paste the code. You should then have the Audioboo, or Showme etc. Here's a challenge:  |
