Today both Dalton and Bonnington groups went places that the Ipads couldn't go : the water!
However, here are some pictures of their games playing together tonight. They are currently all watching a DVD together.

Another lovely morning here and we always enjoy a good breakfast to get us ready for the day's activities. Today, Fiennes group are walking and going on the lake, Dalton group are canoeing and Bonnington are gorge walking! Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic last day of term at Tanfield Comp today. The two Steves (Barlow and Skidmore) entertained us with hilarious tales from their stories. As you can see from the video below, it was a fully interactive experience, which the children raved about on the way home! They encouraged us to believe that 'we are all writers'. My favourite part was when they said that you should write about what you know: YOU! They also took the time to talk to Leah about her 100wc post. What was your favourite part? Enjoy the video below - sorry there is no sound, but I've added a Youtube clip to make it more atmospheric! Spooky Literacy Day from Mark temple on Vimeo. 100wc by Kristen
I was at my friends house. We were eating popcorn while watching a scary movie, It was called the hand! "oh we've ran out of popcorn go and get some for me will you?" My friend asked. I went outside and walked down the street to the shop. As I opened the door the bell rang like it normally does but it wasn't a jolly bell. The shopkeeper came up to me and said ' the shop is closing down!" Slowly the sky got darker, I ran outside quickly to my friends house as quick as I could. While i was running I heard the howl of a wolf. Finally I got there, we returned to watch our movie. The Star of the Week was Abbie, for preparing herself for lessons and always acting on feedback in both Literacy and Numeracy!
This week has been a blogging bonanza so it has been very hard to choose a best Blogger of the Week. Thus, the following children who did the 100 word challenge online are the winners: Rose, Lucy, Alyssa, Jack F., Ryan, Adam and Kristen. Nathan gave us the Sentence of the Week: "Unfortunately, we will have to make some new boats because in the storm they got wrecked." Meanwhile, Curtis won Text of the Week. You can hear a (very expressive) recording of his persuasive argument below! Well done, everyone - keep working hard! One stormy evening I was sitting inside watching a movie about air balloons. As it was getting later and later I ran upstairs still thinking about the air balloons. I quickly put my pyjamas on and got to bed. In my dreams I had a weird dream. It was about the air balloons. The next morning I woke and looking down I was surprised to see I was sitting on a air balloon. I told my mum but I couldn't walk on it. She wasn't there. Oh no what will I do?
