There was a boy wolf and a girl bear. The wolf left a box with a cursed toy as a present but when she opened the lid (with her might) and put her hand into get it, thunder struck and wolves howled. It was silent for a moment. Then there was an explosion, the ground shook, birds flew, baby cried but the wolves just howled. All of a sudden, they all dashed in different directions. Long ago a prince travelled many miles to meet a princess tall and fair. However he couldn't find ‘the one’ as most of them were spoilt and vain. So the very next day the prince decided to visit a psychic and ask her about what his future lay ahead. Although the lady didn't know of anyone, she could see a lady in his near future with long hair. Soon the prince came across a lady in a tower he said “Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair”. Unfortunately she had just had a skinhead, so she threw her hair out of the window because she wasn't interested.
"Cinderella, oh what a beautiful girl." sighed the door man. I wish with all my heart that her big blue eyes would set on mine like clay; when we pass every day in the palace entrance he thought to him self. Coming from the big wooden doors stood a beautiful princess, waves of perfume surrounded him as she flung her pink blouses at him and murderously growled through her gleaming white teeth, "Starched NO creases!". Still Happily smiling his face was covered in dirty washing he sighed disappointedly again .
One day Hansel and Gretel were playing tag in the woods. Soon after that Gretel was chasing Hansel and they saw 4 men circling them. So Hansel and Gretel phoned the police. When the police got there, there were bodies all over the men were kicking, punching and slapping each other.
Then one of the men rampaged through all of the police and came over to Hansel and Gretel. “WA what do you want” Hansel said anxiously. “I want to kill you” said the man “no you will not” said Gretel. “Oh but I will… This week we celebrated WORLD BOOK DAY with Nick Sharratt
Save the Children, together with Beanstalk are very aware that not being able to read handicaps children’s progress and have launched a campaign and programme called Born to Read for children who are struggling. This is a big task and so they have asked if 100 Word Challenge can join in the campaign to ‘Change the Story’ for children. The prompt this week is to chose your favourite fairy story and rewrite it in 100 words changing the ending. Don't forget to comment on our Quadblogging partners' blogs - because next week they will come to us! Here are some examples: The prompt this week is:
… but all we could see was water… Please make sure you use the prompt as it is written. This means you have 107 words to use. Tip: Type it in Word so you can edit it and check the word count! Click here for examples from this week - hopefully you'll leave a 2 stars and a wish comment to support other writers. Good examples (which are edited and around 107 words) will be entered for the 100 Word Challenge! This week's 100 word challenge is a little different: a comic strip!
In Art, we will be looking at portraits and on Friday we will write a 100 word challenge linked to the comic strip. Below is a taster scene from the comic, but you will need to click here for the whole version! It was Judgement day my son was just about to see me. I was walking next to my friend Jessie, the person that saved my life a few times. Finally I seen my child but my wife didn't make it my son remembered my letter as he cried. "The war is over" bellowed the people of the city.I was so happy some people I know didn't make it. I am happy but also sad it is only me and my son left. I can only hope I can survive. Well done to Adam on being the first entry linked up to the 100WC website this week! Don't forget, you need to use the word 'Remembering' to be linked to the 100WC site. On Remembrance Day (11th November) here in the UK and in other parts of the world we are commemorating those who lost their lives in war. The prompt this week is: …Remembering…. You can use your 100 words to write about any subject with this topic. Please make sure you include the word 'Remembering' somewhere in your writing - it might be perfect for an Ed-Ing-Ly sentence! Don't forget to really focus on your LTTs to do your best work possible! Perhaps, you could be on the 100WC showcase and get a badge like the one below. It was Sunday. I nearly fell out of bed when I woke with such a shock, as my alarm went off at half past eight. As soon as I was dressed, I stepped out of the door. A funny looking portal was ahead of me. Somehow I had just been transported to a graveyard with white crosses and lots of people in odd looking outfits. It made me feel very melancholic. It was Remembrance Sunday. I heard the soldiers chanting my name, Charlotte remember me, we are remembering you. I had just died. I felt my heart freeze and my soul left me as I fell to the ground...
