Over the holidays, I received great news from our classpals in South Carolina: they are going to write us letters and we will have new friends that we can share with.
Keep checking your inbox for new emails! In the meantime, here are their blogs if you would like to leave some positive comments. Don't forget we will be creating our own websites soon and we want visitors from around the globe! Next week, we will be solving word problems using division, then looking at various word problems related to money. Here are some warm up activities: Division These games should shake off the Christmas Turkey: http://www.crickweb.co.uk/ks2numeracy-division.html Money http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/teachers/ks2_activities/maths/problem_solving.shtml Below are two videos to revise dividing (thanks to St. Peters' Primary for them) Happy New Year! I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed your time away from school. It has been lovely to have positive comments to each other on the blog over the break, including some Year 7s! A new year means a new topic! We will be looking at The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes, a fantastic poem about life in the 18th century. Below is a video of the poem (in action), plus a video about the highwaymen of the time. |
