On a cold and stormy night, three children were out side playing on their bikes and ripstiks."I dare you to go and stand on the road until a car comes and then jump out of the way " said Merida. Not long afterMerida pushed her little sister Merida ( Angus, the youngest) onto the road. Jodie, the oldest and wisest said, " Merida, I am telling father what you did tonight!" Just at that moment, a car went zooming by. The three girls heard a clinking noise consequently, they ran onto the road and saw a big rusty key with a pearl on it.
An excellent entry. Well written! I agree with Jodie that Merida was behaving dangerously.
We had heard that you had left. I hope you are well in Glasgow and it was nice that you thought of Katie and Jodie. If you send us your address (via email not on the blog!), the class would like to write to you.
Feel free to carry on using the website; it's one way we can keep in touch!

Martine, that was really good! I wonder if you've based Jodie on anyone we know? ;-)
You are missed in school by many!
Keep up the good work x
Hello Martine. It's a good job Jodie was there to be so sensible and stop Merida doing dangerous things.
You had some great openers in here, such as "just at that moment" and "not long after".
To make your story even better, try to match the setting with the activities: a cold, stormy night woud be perfect for a ghost story, but maybe warm, sunshine would be better for children plaing outside.
